Command Master Chief Terry J. Prince

Prince-100x118Master Chief Prince is originally from Milwaukee, WI and joined the United States Navy in July of 1986.  Upon completion of recruit training in San Diego, CA, he attended Dental Technician “A” School and Field Medical Service School at Camp Pendleton before transferring to his initial duty station at First Dental Battalion, Camp Margarita, CA.  He successfully completed five operational tours of duty with First, Second, and Third Dental Battalions and another at Third Force Service Support Group in Okinawa, Japan.

Master Chief Prince deployed to the Persian Gulf in support of the Global War on Terror as the Navy Senior Enlisted Leader of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the USS IWO JIMA (LHD-7), a tour highlighted by a noncombatant evacuation operation in Lebanon.  It was during this deployment that he became a member of the U.S. Navy Hospital Corps, following the successful merger of the Hospital Corpsman and Dental Technician Ratings.

Master Chief Prince’s list of duty stations include Great Lakes, Illinois; Whidbey Island, Washington; Cherry Point, NC; Headquarters Marine Corps, Washington, DC, and Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune.  His most recent assignment was Navy Medicine National Capital Area and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda as the Command’s Senior Enlisted Leader. He currently serves as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Defense Health Agency in Falls Church, VA.

Master Chief Prince is a graduate of the Keystone Joint Command Senior Enlisted Leader Course, U.S. Navy Command Master Chief School, Senior Enlisted Academy, and holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Chapman University.  He is an Eagle Scout, Ironman Triathlon World Championship finisher and an honorary member of the Order of Military Medical Merit.

Master Chief Prince’s personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards) Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and several other unit awards.
