Dr. Bridget Melton is an Associate Professor and the Healthful Living Physical Activity Director at Georgia Southern University. She teaches a variety of courses focused on health and physical activity including Healthful Living, Physiology of Sport and Exercise for Coaches, and Sport Conditioning. As the Director of the Healthful Living Program, she over sees the undergraduate requirement for health and physical activity courses at a mid-sized university. Dr. Melton’s research concentrates primarily on using technology to motivate special populations to exercise. She has published 29 peer reviewed articles, contributed to 15 books and has given over 50 presentations to the states, national and international audiences. Dr. Melton is active with several state and national organizations including American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), Society of Health and Physical Educator of America (SHAPE), National Physical Activity Plan (NPAP), and the Georgia Association of Health Physical Education Recreation and Dance (GAHPERD).
