Brian Weaver, MPH, serves as the Vice President for the Healthy Schools Program for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. In this position he oversees more than 70 staff in 34 states who are helping schools make healthy and sustainable policy and program changes. Brian joined the Alliance in July 2013 and previously he served as the Section Chief for the Chronic Disease Prevention and Cancer Control Section in the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. He was responsible for the overall management of the section, which addressed the health areas of cancer, oral health, diabetes, nutrition, physical activity, obesity, heart disease and stroke, and breast and cervical cancer screening.
Brian received both his bachelor’s in Community Health Education and his MPH at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Since 1995, he has been working with communities across Wisconsin to improve the health and well-being of children, adults, and the elderly. He has served on a number of councils and advisory boards both at the state and national level.
